On May 6, Choose Summerside kicked off with its inaugural event at Credit Union Place. We were delighted to welcome about 1500 people through our doors to celebrate Summerside and all that we have to offer.
The Journal Pioneer did a great job of capturing spirit of the event.
Choose Summerside was inspired by the Greater Summerside Chamber of Commerce’s ‘Way Forward’ conferences, which led to a group of volunteers planning social media campaigns to spread positive messages of appreciation for all that our lovely city has to offer.
To support the launch of the committee’s initiative and #ChooseSummerside hashtag, the Greater Summerside Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Summerside, and Explore Summerside organized a family fun event that celebrates living, working, and doing business in Summerside.
This family-friendly event was the beginning. We encourage residents of this wonderful place to be vocal about why they love it here and to help spread the word to family, friends and business colleagues. Follow ‘Choose Summerside’ on social media, and share your photos, videos, and posts about the places and things you love with the Hashtag #ChooseSummerside.
