Dear Summerside Business Owner,
Summerside is conducting its second Business Retention and Expansion survey of local businesses. The vibrancy and prosperity of our region is strongly connected to the success of our existing businesses. In recognition of this, the City of Summerside is taking positive action to identify and
meet the needs of the businesses in our community.
Our Business Retention & Expansion (BR+E) project seeks input on the plans and needs of local businesses, as well as how business owners/managers view the community as a place to do business. In turn, the information from the survey will be used to plan economic development activities.
The project team and I will review the completed surveys for challenges and opportunities that our local business community is facing. A challenge could include businesses that have indicated concerns over relocation, closure, and/or downsizing. An opportunity includes businesses that are
indicating expansion and hiring opportunities.
I respectfully invite you to participate in the BR+E survey. It will be conducted over the telephone with the support of MDB Insight. If chosen, you will be contacted by phone between mid-February and early March.
The survey should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete.
