Office of Immigration, Settlement and Population

The Office of Immigration, Settlement and Population designs and administers programs to facilitate the attraction and retention of newcomers and those who want to return to the province. Its efforts are driven by the following objectives:

  • To create awareness of Prince Edward Island as a place to live, work and prosper.
  • To foster relationships and support services for connecting employers with employees.
  • To provide coordination and funding to various stakeholders to deliver services to newcomers.
  • To administer the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program and support immigrant entrepreneurs and investors in the establishment of their businesses.

We work to help offset the demographic realities of the province by concentrating on finding, attracting and keeping newcomers and returning Islanders.

We have organized our mandate around recruitment and settlement activities which are crucial to increasing retention and contributing to the population growth and prosperity goals of the province.
