Only in Summerside you say?

We all know Summerside is one-of-a-kind, but the facts back us up.  Here are a few of our hometown’s most unique features:

Our City Hall is the only municipal building in Canada that features the head of a pig.  This is reputedly the work of a disgruntled sculptor during its original construction from 1884-86.

Summerside boasts the oldest operating racetrack in Canada, (1886).

Holman Gardens is one of the oldest, continuously maintained Victorian gardens in North America.

Summerside is the only place on PEI where you can try out a Segway!

Some say that we have the only combined curling & yacht club in the world!

The College of Piping is the only facility  of its kind in North America.

Summerside is the birthplace of the Confederation Trail.

And while we don’t have any stats on this, how many places do you know with a beautiful 6km boardwalk going through its downtown, and a beach clean enough that you can swim in it?
