PEI Connectors Appoints Regional Program Officer for Prince County

Summerside, PE –PEI Connectors wishes to announce the appointment of Nelson Snow as Regional Program Officer for Prince County.

As Regional Program Officer, Snow will provide counselling services to immigrant entrepreneurs who are launching, purchasing, or investing in businesses in Prince County, and will present local opportunities to clients throughout the province.

Many will know Snow as a life-long resident of Summerside. He began his career with Fitzgerald & Snow, and most recently worked in real estate and property management.  He is an active volunteer in his community, having served as President of both the Summerside Rotary Club and Downtown Summerside Inc.

“I’m excited to be the new face of PEI Connectors in Summerside and western PEI,” said Snow,  “I look forward to supporting local business owners in welcoming, and making connections with, our newest Island entrepreneurs.”

The PEI Connectors Prince County Regional Office is funded by the Province of Prince Edward Island and the City of Summerside.  This program expansion is operated in partnership with the Greater Summerside and Greater Charlottetown Area Chambers of Commerce.

“Through the PEI Connectors Program, interested newcomers can meet with key business contacts and learn more about business interests available to them,” said Minister Heath MacDonald, Economic Development and Tourism. “I am so pleased that we were able to work together to expand the program’s physical presence to Prince County through the hiring of Nelson. On behalf of the Province, I wish him all the best in his new role.”

“Summerside is certainly pleased that Nelson Snow has accepted the position as Regional Program Officer with the new Summerside office of the PEI Connectors program.  Nelson’s contacts, local knowledge and experience will be very valuable in this new position,” stated Summerside Mayor, Bill Martin.

Snow is based at the Greater Summerside Chamber of Commerce office, and officially started this new role on May 9th. PEI Connectors will celebrate its Prince County launch with a business networking event on June 22nd at Credit Union Place in Summerside.  Additional information on this event will be released at a later date.

PEI Connectors is an initiative of the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce that serves immigrant entrepreneurs throughout PEI. The goal to of the program is to facilitate connections between clients and the PEI business community, to promote the retention of immigrant entrepreneurs.
